Little Merida was Hit by a Car

What happened?
On Thanksgiving Day, two-year-old Merida was playing at the edge of the driveway when she was struck and run over by the car of another Thanksgiving guest. In the ambulance on the way to the nearest hopsital, they lost her vital signs several times, and so she was airlifted to Oklahoma University Medical Center as soon as possible.
Merida is currently there in the PICU, and the extent of her injuries are still unknown. We know she has fractures across her face and skull, as well as damage to her lungs and spleen, and potentally a fractured vertebrae. She's been intubated and sedated as we wait for her vital signs to be stable enough to perform an MRI. [Update: MRI was performed Monday evening.]
How You Can Help
Make a donation. First and foremost, Merida needs her daddy with her. He's currently in southern Mexico, where he's a resident and citizen, and has been unable to find a way to reach any official who can help due to the holiday season. Initial donations will go towards travel and potentially legal expenses related to allowing him to be with his family during this difficult time. Any further donations will go torwards any other immediate needs of the family, and medical expenses.

En el Día de Acción de Gracias, Mérida, de dos años, jugaba al borde del camino de entrada cuando fue golpeada y atropellada por el automóvil de otro invitado de Acción de Gracias. En la ambulancia en el camino hacia el hospital más cercano, perdieron sus signos vitales varias veces, por lo que fue transportada por aire al Centro Médico de la Universidad de Oklahoma lo antes posible.
Mérida se encuentra actualmente en la UCIP, y aún se desconoce el alcance de sus lesiones. Sabemos que tiene fracturas en la cara y el cráneo, así como daños en los pulmones y el bazo, y en general una fractura en las vértebras. Ella ha sido intubada y sedado mientras esperamos que sus signos vitales sean lo suficientemente estables para realizar una resonancia magnética.
