Geotourism is excitement, it is freedom and with that comes the spirit of adventure we all crave. To discover that special place, that landscape that seemingly separates you from this world refilling your spirit; those places are golden. I believe that like gold, opportunity is where you find it.
My name is Andrew Matthews and I wish to share my own golden experience; my gold fever that has lead me to create Donnybrook Gold and Lithium Valley Rocks; two geotourism brands both hitting gold in the Southwest of Western Australia.
GoFundMe funding will inject capacity into my business enabling me to meet the growing demand for interesting Southwest day-trip experiences in the rapidly changing domestic tourism market post COVID.
Donnybrook Gold
In 1898 gold was discovered in Donnybrook followed by a short 5 yr gold rush. Soon however, more money could be made from growing apples than from mining the gold, and the gold rush died. However; the gold fever survived and can now be yours to experience as you get the the same thrill of digging for gold on the same gold rich hill the old-timers found. Whether you are looking for new local knowledge or just ticking off a bucket list, a tour at Donnybrook Gold will have something for you.
