LISA TEAMS National Competition
Donation protected
LISA Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school located in Little Rock, Arkansas, that prides itself in its diversity and STEM focused college preparatory courses. The school was ranked #63 of "America's Most Challenging Schools" by the Washington Post in 2016, and its clubs have won a multitude of academic awards. Among the numerous clubs offered at LISA Academy is the TEAMS Club, in which the 9th and 10th graders won "Best in State" in 2016 and again qualified for the National Competition in 2017. TEAMS is an acronym for "Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science," and more information can be obtained about this national group by visiting the TEAMS website. The National Competition this year will be held in Orlando, Florida, which will require hotel rooms for 6 students and 2 adult chaperones for 5 nights plus transportation expenses of gasoline for 2 vehicles. The students would also like to visit Kennedy Space Center while they are in Florida if possible to enhance their experience. In order to make this happen, we are trying to raise $4100 and are asking for your help in this wonderful opportunity for this gifted group of 10th graders. Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated, and if you can't donate, you can always help by sharing our page with all of your friends, relatives, and co-workers. Thank you for your support!
