I haven't wrote anything on here in quite a while, but I came on here this morning because there is so many THANK YOUs I need to address this morning!
I know as the days go by it seems to get harder and a little more REAL. Lisa's spirit is definitely one that will never be replaced and will always be remembered. I know Lisa, Tony, Vincent, Gio, and Dom will always hold a very dear place in my heart and everyone else's. Thank you for the continued support and love! And thank you to the boys for allowing us to be there for you during this difficult time. We love you!
1. THANK YOU to UMPS Care Charity for your generous donation to the Petricca family. This is a non-profit established by Major League Baseball (MLB) umpires to provide financial, in-kind and emotional support for America's youth and families in need. The kindness that you have shown the Petricca's is so much appreciated.
2. THANK YOU to the many people who have donated on Go Fund Me or have sent personal checks to the family. You are so special and I can't thank you enough for the kindness you have shown.
2. THANK YOU to Eastbound Bar & Grill for hosting our LOVE for LISA fundraiser last Monday! Between the raffle, silent auction, live auction, and Love for Lisa bracelets we raised over $23,000. It was a HUGE success and we couldn't have done it without Eastbound and without this amazing community that will forever surround their family!
3.THANK YOU to those who came out and got some dinner, participated in the raffle and auctions, and who showed support to the family.
4. THANK YOU to those who gave donations to the event- the Padres organization, Andy Ashby, Steve Finley, Trevor Hoffman, so many other players, Kris Dielman, AO Reed, Barona, Viejas, Sycuan, LTD, Elite limo, local restaurants, local organizations and so many more that would take all day to mention(so sorry!).
5. AND A BIG THANK YOU to many of Lisa's close friends and family that helped make it happen! You know who you are ;)

I would just like to let you all know that I really appreciate all the support and continued prayers. With Lisa's passing we may all tend to question how this could happen to her. I have, so I know you all have also. I have always believed that God has a reason for everything. Right now I cannot answer that question and the pain I am feeling and our boys is beyond explanation. I continue to pray and believe that one day God will answer my question. Until than I must say that Lisa has touched a lot of peoples lives. Her zest for life, family and friends is truly amazing. I LOVE HER AND WILL NEVER STOP LOVING HER TILL THE DAY I JOIN HER IN HEAVEN. Thank you again and I hope that one day I will be able to thank each and everyone of you personally. God Bless you all.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the tragic news of the passing of an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Heaven has definitely gained one incredible angel today! Our LISA will be missed deeply. Her loving and full of life personality will leave a great legacy. We will never be the same without her! Words can't even describe all of our emotions, thank you to everyone that has kept praying and showed so much support through it all. No prayer too small, we need to continue to pray for the healing of this wonderful family.
We will keep everyone posted with the services to celebrate the life of such an AMAZING woman. We want to give her the BEST, so we are asking you continue to share and donate to the Petricca family to cover the funeral costs.
God bless you all and please continue to pray for the Petricca's!
This morning my amazing mama shared this scripture with me and I in return wanted to share it with you...
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
The power of prayer and the kindness in your hearts have given this family HOPE! Hope to keep pushing, strength to keep praying, and faith to keep trusting. Lisa has a long road to recovery, but I truly believe if anyone can do it, it's her. If any family can get through this, it's them. I want to thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations to the Petricca family. We have rallied together to give them comfort and support along the way. We just have to trust in the Lord's plan for Lisa. KEEP up the prayer warriors- I know she is on her way to recovery. Thank you again for being the most AMAZING community of supporters to this wonderful family!
We broke $10,000 this morning and I couldn't be more proud of everyone that has come together to help out the Petricca family. Through the generous donations, the words of encouragement, and the constant prayer chains, I am completely touched by the level of support. The lord is going to continue to bless this family and I know Lisa will keep getting stronger and stronger. We will all be here to celebrate with her when she wakes up! I can't say THANK YOU enough to everyone who has contributed in some way. We appreciate you! Please keep sharing Lisa's story and continue to pray for her recovery. Good morning everyone,
I AM SPEECHLESS. THIS IS AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for all the generous donations and the continuous support for the Petricca family! I know this gives them peace in their heart to fully focus on Lisa and for that I am eternally grateful. We are praying that her oxygen levels are higher today! Keep fighting Lisa, we got your back ;) XOXO.
Wow"¦this has brought tears to my eyes this morning. The Petricca family has touched such a huge community of people and I want to thank everyone for the outpour of love and donations! The support is overwhelming and so appreciated. Please keep sharing Lisa's story and praying for her full recovery. Again, THANK YOU! xoxo
As so many of you know, our beloved friend, daughter, wife, and mother to 3, Lisa Petricca has been in the ICU since Wednesday, January 8, 2014 when her conditioned worsened with what seemed to be pneumonia. The doctors made the call to put her into a medically induced coma to help take stress off her body, because her lungs were completely infected and not functioning. She has developed ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and was diagnosed with Influenza A. She has been placed on a CPS (Cardio Pulmonary Support) machine. This is the most aggressive approach to allow her lungs less stress and to heal themselves. At this point, we are literally at a sit and wait game. She is looking at a minimum of 7-10 days in this medically induced coma and will have many more treatments and rehabilitation in her future.
With that said, I am reaching out on behalf of her family to ask for donations to help them with their current financial needs. This will give the family one less thing to worry about as they continue to spend their time together daily and can fully focus on Lisa's fight to recovery.
Lisa is known by many in the community and is always known for her contagious smile and her full of life personality. Her and her husband, Tony, always have so much to give to everyone they meet, so its time for us to give back to them. No donation is too small! Please continue to keep your prayers up and share with everyone you know. Tony and his sons, Vincent, Giovanni, and Dominic appreciate all the words of encouragement and prayers you have brought to them!
Thank you all in advance,
Also, if anyone would like to contact me personally please call me 619-820-7214.
