Located in Connecticut, LISA, Inc. (aka Living In Safe Alternatives, Incorporated) provides safe, stable, home environments to the state’s most vulnerable youth in child protection services.
Our residential home for girls age 17-21, is in dire need of a modernized, ADA compliant wheelchair ramp. The current metal structure is not only rusting after 12 years, but is slippery and dangerous in wet weather conditions. Aesthetically, the over-sized ramp sends the wrong message about the home environment we want to provide the diverse population of young people we serve.
Replacing this outdated, unsafe, and eyesore of a ramp will help us provide equal access to this incredible program for all girls in our care.
