Financial Support for Lisa Ehle Cancer Treatments

Lisa has been battling breast cancer for over a year now and her medical bills are creating financial hardship for her and her family. We want her to be able to focus her energy on fighting this fight without the added stress worrying about money. Lisa is one of our dearest friends and we just love her edgy style and her dry sense of humor!

 This is a family that is giving, thoughtful and has never once asked for help. This GoFundMe is to help this amazing family with un-covered cancer treatments. 

   In September of 2017, the Ehle family took a leap of faith and sold their home in the East Bay and relocated to Sonoma. Living in wine country was a dream come true and life couldn't be better. But in February of 2018 the family was dealt a blow when Lisa discovered a lump in her breast. After having a thermography scan, doctors appointments, ultra-sounds and a biopsy, she received the news in early April that it was in fact cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). Time Stopped.

 This wasn't the first time Lisa had gotten such news. In 2007 she was diagnosed with skin cancer (melanoma), and subsequently had a portion of her ear removed, as well as had several lymph nodes taken out. Shortly thereafter she had to have surgery again to remove a large portion of skin on her back which also had melanoma. Since then, she's had to have well over 50 skin biopsies taken. She also has had to watch her Mom dealing with cancer for the past few years.

   Having lived a much more holistic lifestyle for the past decade, Lisa decided to explore all possible options for treatment, especially after having done so much research and witnessing a lot of the horribly negative side effects from traditional treatments. She quickly realized that some of the treatment options presented were not worth the risk in her eyes. Since that time, Lisa has met with a large number of doctors and surgeons, from traditional MD's to Anthroposophical, Integrative, and Naturopathic doctors. This journey has taken her all across Northern California, from the East Bay to San Francisco to Sebastopol. She has truly embraced the philosophy of treating the mind, body and soul.

  So many amazing individuals have come into Lisa's life, and in December of 2018 she was extremely grateful to have a world renowned doctor in Arizona take her on as a patient. He developed a highly personalized series of protocols, treatments and life style changes for her to follow. It has been a very long, hard road, but she remains extremely positive and has received so much wonderful support from friends and family. Unfortunately, the vast majority of doctors appointments, tests, nutraceuticals, and treatments over the past year have not been covered by insurance.

    The thing that weighs most on her now is the financial cost this is having on her family. They have gone through the proceeds of the sale of their house and their savings. Both Arik and Lisa keep a positive front for the kids, but the financial hardship is definitely taking it's toll on them both
