Lisa Best Childs Medical and Recovery expenses

My name is Kim Ball and I am writing this on behalf of Lisa Best Childs, a friend and former Evans High School classmate. If you went to Evans in the 80’s, I know you remember the witty, fun-loving, girl whose smile and laugh could brighten up any room. Lisa needs our help.
Lisa has experienced some some pretty dire medical problems. A while back, Lisa was diagnosed with a condition called Charcot Foot. Lisa underwent an extensive surgery to take bone grafts from other areas of her body and rebuild most all of the bones in her foot. It has been a lengthy recovery process as she waited for her bones to heal. Just recently, Lisa found out that the bones of her foot aren’t healing and the weakened bones are not repairing themselves. Sadly, the only option she has is amputation of that foot.
As you can imagine, Lisa has been out of work for quite sometime due to her disease and her recovery from the first surgery. Lisa borrowed money from her family for the first surgery, intending to go back to work as soon as possible to repay them. But, she has not been able to return to work. The next surgery she is facing, must be paid for up front. Lisa desperately needs this surgery, as soon as possible, before her foot begins to cause other health problems for her. Lisa also needs money to pay for a prosthetic after the surgery is complete and she needs money to make her house payment and cover other basic expenses during her lengthy recovery.
