Lindsey's New York Trip

Hello!
My name is Lindsey Elsey, I've been a potter for 8 years now, and I am one semester away from earning my Masters degree in ceramics. From there, I hope to pursue my passion of assisting other to express themselves through clay.
Just a week ago, I found out two of my pieces were selected to show in the quaint town of New York City (eep!). I am beyond excited that my work is being recognised on a national level and will soon be on display in First Street Gallery in Chelsea.
So here is where you come in: as you can imagine, the funds for an art grad student are pretty tight. I am currently living off ramen noodles and grocery store samples (but for real...). I am determined to make it from upstate South Carolina to the "Big Apple" for the 2015 MFA National Exhibition reception on July 23. This is an unrepeatable chance for me to network in new circles, meet the juror, David A. Ross, and have my face associated with my work. With our generosity to cover travel expenses, I won't have to resort to hitchiking!
