Linda's Cancer Support

I would like to start off by explaining what has and is happening to my mom. January of this year she went to the hospital 3 times for a cough and chest pain where they finally did an X-ray and they diagnosed her with phenomena and with treatment she was feeling better. 10 months later, in November, she had the same symptoms and went back to the hospital where they treated her for phenomena again except this time it did not get better. She went back to the hospital a few weeks later and they did a CT Scan where they found the large mass in her upper lobe and spreading to the liver. This was then, when she was first diagnosed with her lung cancer. This means that within those 10 months the cancers had developed and spread like wildfire or that the phenomena she had in January was covering the mass in her X-ray. After finally getting he in to see an oncologist, a biopsy, MRI of her brain and a PET Scan she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 that has spread to her liver and bones. Since then, she has been in the hospital 2 more times for shortness of breathe and blood clotting in her leg.

With her shortness of breathe, chronic cough and severe chest pain she has not been able to work the last month. Not to mention the anxiety and overwhelming experience of seeking help for what she though was phenomena and finding out she is Stage 4 Lung Cancer. My mom still needs to be able to provide for my 15 year old sister, pay her bills and some of her medications have not been covered by insurance. While our family is doing as much as we can we still need some help. She is in the process of filing for long term disability and social security but we all know how frustrating and how long that can take to receive anything.

It is with a heavy heart we are asking for some financial support from anyone who can help.

Very scared, but with a positive attitude, she is ready to give it all she has and kick cancers butt and is starting her Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy next week. 

Everyone who knows my mom knows to love her. A woman who has taken control of her life and has completely turned it around in the most amazing way over the past 5 years. She wants nothing more to beat this and come out stronger from it. And I think I speak for everyone who knows her knows how strong of a fighter she is and has faith this is going to be just another mountain she has climbed.
