Lily Thornton

Earlier this week my niece went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a virus. The virus was improperly treated and rapidly worsened in just a couple of days. Thursday morning Lily was rushed to the ER experiencing multiple organ failure as her body tried to fight the virus. After both her kidneys and heart failed doctors performed an ECMO to keep her alive and to figure out what the initial cause was. The doctors have not been able to diagnose the initial infection and are instead focusing on treating the symptoms she has now. Lily's heart and lungs are functioning  with the assistance of machines, but she has a long fight ahead of her. The full extent of her illness and recovery is not yet known. With both her mother, Elizabeth Thornton, and father at the hospital with Lily around the clock, any kind of financial assistance you can provide would mean the world to our family.
