Lilly's Service Dog

My name is Lilly, and I need a service dog.

I am one of three people in my family with type 1 diabetes. There are times when all three of us struggle with the dangerous highs and lows, and it’s always frightening, because I know that a really severe low can lead to seizures. I have seen my sister have some really bad seizures when she was younger. My mom has had diabetes so long that she doesn’t always feel it when she is having a low.  I know that having a service dog will help not only me, but all the diabetics in my house.  Dogs help ease stress and anxiety, something that I struggle with. I also know that this service dog will help me deal with the neurological issues I am having.  I hope that in time, I can learn to deal with these issues, and maybe even stop having them all together. Diabetes is very expensive to have and to take care of. I have saved the money for a down payment on a dog that we will train to be a service dog, but it is very expensive  and time consuming to train her. I am hoping to raise enough money to purchase the dog and pay for the basic training myself. I am very determined to get this dog and I know it will help me!
