Share the Stories of Homeless Youth

Homeless Youths face unimaginable hardships. Help us share their stories and improve their lives!

No Place Like Home is an ongoing funding-dependent documentary about youth homelessness and the need for youth-specific overnight shelters.

We collected the stories of homeless youth who have no place to call home. We asked them who they are, how they live, and what they need. Homeless youth are one of the most at-risk populations, yet to many people they remain invisible. Our passion is to spread the word about the unique challenges these young people face, and to help educate policy makers as to what support can help them reclaim their bright futures.

We have had immense success showing our documentary to decision-makers not only around Massachusetts, but nationally and internationally, and now we need your help to take things to the next level. National homeless conferences, municipalities, and government building auditoriums are chalk-full of influential people just looking to learn how to make a difference in the lives of homeless youth, and they want us to share our project. With your help, we can bring the people behind "No Place Like Home" and the film to cities all over and to the hearts and minds of people who can do something about it.

Because we are relying upon generous donations to bring our film to more audiences, we've decided to make as much as possible out of No Place Like Home advocacy-based screenings. By broadening our story outside the city of Boston, we hope to show our film that captures the lives of of homeless youth throughout more of America, and to larger international audiences. The timing couldn't be better, as "No Place like Home" was recently shown at an international film festival in India!

With your help, we hope to bring the voices of these young people to a new city, a new state, a new country and educate an audience full of people who could make meaningful changes that impact their lives. These young people have so much potential-it's up to us to make sure they can live it.

About "No Place Like Home" (NPLH) the Film-Short Version

On November 14th, 2013 we premiered our film at the Cambridge Public Library in Massachusetts to raise awareness and gave youth a chance to speak and answer questions from an audience of over 200 people. Since then, we have shown and discussed NPLH, followed by a homeless youth and advocate panel, for several audiences and conferences in the United States.

We have screened No Place Like Home for individual Legislators, at the Massachusetts State House, film festivals internationally, the nation’s leading centers of learning as well as its largest conferences on LGBT youth and homelessness focussed topics,

As part of an ongoing awareness program, NPLH is shown in the classroom at area middle-schools, high-schools, and interfaith gatherings.

Thank you for your support!!
