Lift up the Vision of Jesus Christ

"Where there is no prophetic vision (of Jesus) the people cast off restraint, But happy is he who is obedient to God's law." Proverbs 29:18

Hello everyone, my name is Brent Chrishon.
I have a big dream, a big mission.
11 years ago as I was being drawn to seek the Lord greatly, He communicated a special vision of Himself to me through the Bible. The vision is the vision of Habakkuk spoken about in Habakkuk 2:2,3 saying "write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie, though it tarry wait for it, for it will surely come."
I was shown that the vision here spoken about is the vision of Christ Habakkuk saw and is recorded in the next chapter: "His glory covered the heavens and the earth was full of His praise, His brightness was as the light, He had bright beams coming out of His side and there was the hiding of His POWER" (Habakkuk 3:3,4 KJV margin).
The Spirit of the living God caused this bright revelation of Jesus to be most wonderful to me. I made tables, shaped as the Ten Commandment tables, and painted the vision of Christ's pierced side upon the tables as commanded in Habakkuk 2:2.

I also wrote a book about what all of this meant to me and associated Bible teachings as well. I was so desirous to let everyone I could know and learn about this bright vision of Christ, that I funded a billboard in my poor inner-city neighborhood of Glen Oaks in East Baton Rouge parish in Louisiana.

These were some of the things I felt I was being led to do 11 years ago and I have held this vision and Bible teaching about Jesus close to my heart since that time. There has been often great difficulty in continuing to beleive and hold on to what I still beleive that God wants to share with the whole world, but also in this time my faith in this 'vision' of Jesus and what He is teaching and showing us has greatly increased.

Recently, I have written and finishd the publication of a new book and got some help to portray again the vision of Christ as described by Habakkuk the prophet. Here is the  updated rendering of the vision of Jesus:

The teaching of the vision of Jesus for these last days is that the true meaning of the Commandments of God is Jesus Himself and His self-sacrificial love. We are indeed commanded to be obedient to God and to keep His commandments. But this we cannot do as God desires; the only way for us to fulfill God's will for our lives is to recieve Christ within us and Jesus Himself within us is our Righteousness in fulfilling the obedience God requires of us. We are to beleive in and recieve Jesus! The vision of Christ, recorded by Habakkuk the prophet, is given to us for the end time as a focal point and revelation of Jesus that is to be lifted up that "he may run that readeth it" - meaning that all may run the race of faith - all may be led into the right path - whosoever may view it in faith and beleive... It is to be just as when Moses lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness in obedience to God's directions for him to do so - that all the children of Israel who were bitten by the poisonous vipers might look to it and live. Their looking signified their faith. They knew there was no virtue to heal in the bronze serpent, but in following God's (sort of strange, out of the ordinary) agency for their healing they expressed faith and God healed them instantly.
Likewise this vision of Jesus which, by the Holy Ghost, teaches so much and reveals Jesus essentially is meant to be used of God and lifted up in the last days that all may look and live. And by looking in faith, they may recieve and by receiving the impartation of Jesus, they will live. "And this is life eternal, that may know Thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ Whom God has sent" John 17:3.

Just like 11 years ago, I had money to put up a billboard in my poor inner-city neighborhood where I grew up - I would like to do that again now with this new rendering of the vision of Christ for the end time. The scripture says, "where there is no VISION the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Proverbs 29:18

My people, particularly in the inner-citys are indeed perishing because there is no pure vision of Jesus Christ. Yes, Bibles are everywhere, but how many can know the pure teachings of the Bible when they have not been trained to study and understand for themselves what it truly teaches... and in the general disobedience to God that abounds, they are indeed truly unhappy, for no one can truly be happy in a life of continuous trangression against the law of God - this is sin.
I want to lift up the vision of Jesus, which is a simple way of summing up the whole teaching of the Bible and God's commandments in a simple, plain visual picture
so anyone who may look in faith and live.

"For Christ is the end (the goal, the culmination) of the law to all them that beleive" Romans 10:4.

I want to do this, not only on billboards in my home city of Baton Rouge, LA but in as many inner-cities in America as I can: New Orleans, LA. Chicago, IL. Atlanta, GA, New York, NY. Los Angeles, CA. ect.

This is why I am seeking to raise such a big and lofty goal.

The cost of billboards varies greatly from as low as $400/month for small street level placement in quieter places to $40,000/month in high visiablity placement in major markets. Because I want to reach inner-city areas I will endeavor to put up a billboard for every $2,500 gained in this campaign. Hence the goal is for roughly 400 placements of the Vision of Jesus over the life of the campaign.

Here is an example of what a placement may look like (of course many advertising companies offer help in improving the appearance of your ad, so this is a work-up to give an idea of what the placement may look like)

Friends, after all these years I still beleive, only by God's grace. I have been praying and will continue to pray that God will do great miracles in getting His message of love and salvation to those who need to hear it most. The gospel is to be preached to the poor and uneducated. When the children of Israel were disobedient and murmuring and complaining and as a result they were bitten by the firey serpents of the wildreness, did God leave them to their deserved result? No, He commanded Moses to make a brazen serpent and lift it up on a pole and proclaim throughout the camp that God had said that if anyone who had been bitten and was even now dying would look at the brazen serpent that they would be healed. Those who doubted that they could find any salvation in such foolish, silly means and refused to look died without remedy. Those who took hold of the proclaimation and obeyed and beleived God had indeed made a simple way to bring life and cure to His poor, pitiful, disobedient children, found indeed that our God is gracious, full of mercy and of a great kindness. They looked and lived.

For those who desire to learn more, I have prepared a simple and easy to understand book to explain more fully the simple teachings of the vision of Christ and any who is desirous to learn more can do a little research and get a copy of the book... The name of the book is "Our Pure Need of Obedience to the Law of God" and the focus of the book is how that while, yes, God does require obedience to His law, this requirement is to drive us to see our pure need of Jesus to live in our hearts and souls. We have no righteousness nor just claim that we should gain salvation based upon our actions or lives. But to a merciful and gracious God, as our God, our great need is a powerful argument in our favor and truly the only prevailing claim that we can bring before Him as the basis to claim His mercy. And He has provided Jesus to be our Gift and Salvation to satisfy this very great and pure need of ours.

The primary purpose of raising money in this campaign is, however, to secure the usage of prominent billboards in as many inner-cities as possible so as to gain for as many people as possible the ease of opportunity to "look and live" - by viewing the vision of Christ in faith. Jesus comes searching for us where we are and His sacrificing for us is upon His Own initiation. He does not wait until we ask for Him or even see our dire need. He provides for His Name's sake and then draws our hearts out to Him as we are awakened to see our lost and hoepless condition unless heaven should make efforts for our salvation...
It is also my desire to continue to 'Lift up the Vision of Jesus' made plain upon the tables in the city  and preach the gospel personally, as I do now locally in Montogomery, AL . The contributions can help with this as well.

We are to cooperate with this work of God in doing what we can that the gospel shall be preached to the poor in ways God has ordained; nothing, no way He has consecrated, is to be negected. I am asking the community of all who have taken the time to read this to give generously and in faith.
I will continue this campaign that I may post pictures of billboards that shall be secured and give details of the cities where they are and their physical locations.

Please come up to the help of the Lord.
With love and in faith of your vision and spiritually keen eyesight - only by God's Grace,

Brent Oliver Chrishon
