My parents, Paul and Cindy Anton have a story that one could hardly write if tried. They spent many of their years loving and parenting their son (my brother) with an addiction, which not only cost them financially but mentally, physically and emotionally. Most sadly, he was healed from his disease in heaven, Dec 19, 2015.
This past year in August, their daughter (my sister) was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, which complicated their grief.
Incredibly, just 4 months later, my mom Cindy was also diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
As you can imagine the mental, emotional and physical implications of this have been and will be great for both my mom and dad.
She begins chemotherapy treatments mid-January and her MD has taken her out of work to undergo this long journey that will result in 4-5 months of chemo followed by surgery and radiation.
Unfortunately, along with the lack of partial income from not working that will be occurring, they have had medical insurance changes the last 2 months, resulting in two high deductible plans. They will have accrued $7700 in bills BEFORE treatment has even started! Part of this is being mandated to be paid in order to proceed with her first scheduled chemo treatment, January 16th.
I am humbly reaching out to my family and friends to ask for any support you can offer as they are not resourced to meet their current needs. Unfortunately, neither is our immediate family able to meet all of their needs in our current seasons of life.
