Lifesaving Insulin Pump

Donation protected
My name is Kaitlyn and I am currently a freshman in college pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 10 years old and have had the disease for nearly 9 years. A company called Medtronic has come out with a new and improved insulin pump that will help make me live life as normally as possible. Being a college student, living on my own, and not having someone to check on me to make sure my sugar is not going low during the night, this insulin pump can help prevent major complications. This insulin pump includes a continuous glucose monitor that checks my blood sugar for me, automatically sends the blood sugar to the pump, then notfies when my sugar is too high or too low. There is also an alarm built in to this pump, so if I am sleeping during the night and I drop too low, I will be notified. This pump is extremely important to me considering I am living on my own now. Thanks for thinking of me. If the funds exceed my goal, the rest of the money will be donated to Camp Hickory Hill for Diabetic Children in Columbia, MO.
