Lifeline for Tynan
Donation protected
On April 15, the Crane family's life was tragically changed. Tynan, in his first year of university, was having surgery to correct his increasingly critical scoliosis when the surgery went terribly wrong and left him paralyzed.
Tynan is the son of Mark and Nikki Crane -- for those of us who know Nikki from Freeport, we remember her as Nichola Stafford. After leaving Freeport, her family settled in Canada where she married and raised her family.
Tynan has been moved from the local hospital to a hospital in Toronto -- hours from where they live. Nikki (Nichola) has been staying with Tynan 24/7 and only today, switched off care with her husband and Tynan's father Mark. As Nikki said, "I just cant believe this is happening to our beautiful Tynan."
In a few weeks, Tynan will be transferred to Lyndhurst, a spinal cord injury facility, also in Toronto, where he will stay for 4-5 months, receiving therapy, and learning how to live with the wheelchair before returning home.
When medical catastrophes occur, it's often the non-medical expenses that are the most challenging for families: gas, mileage, hotels, meals, and self-care. Please consider contributing any amount you feel led to for our friend, Nikki and her husband Mark, to be able to be there and care for their son without the added financial burden.
In love and appreciation...
