Chinese Trans Man U.S. Book Tour

Being trans is difficult everywhere, but can you imagine being trans in a place where everyone lives in stealth? It makes it nearly impossible to find information, friends, and mentors. Until 2003, I didn't even have a word for myself and I still don't know any other trans people in my own country. I've written a book about my life as a trans man coming of age in China: Life Beyond My Body, which has been published here in the United States. Because my book has been published, a friend sent me a ticket to visit the U.S.

For the first time, I am meeting other trans people, and can ask questions about their experiences and perspectives. I am discovering a brotherhood of trans men and have been invited to visit several cities to share my story and learn theirs.

My ultimate goal is to write a second book based on what I learn while living out of the closet for the first time and traveling in America, but I can't do this without you. Will you help?
