Seeds of Love is a not-for-profit organization that grew out of a Gratitude Training leadership program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida called Masterful Living (ML37FLL). The 35 members of the ML37 team have created a legacy project that includes raising funds to certify trainers to take the Creative Insight Journey (CIJ) Kids - Insight For Life course into the Broward County School System. CIJ Kids is an awe-inspiring course that focuses on mindfulness and emotional intelligence. Based upon methodology first taught at Stanford University’s famed Creativity in Business Course (CIB), the 8-week program is designed to take kids and teens on a profound journey into unearthing their creativity, tapping into their purpose, and thereby activating their full potential. Using practical tools and techniques the CIJ Insight For Life Instructor will empower kids and teens to step into their authentic true selves.
CIJ Insight For Life coach, Susan London, brought the program to the East Ramapo Central School District in Spring Valley, NY. She delivered a 45 minute lesson 1x per week to a class of 24 third graders for 8 consecutive weeks. The class was a mix of boys and girls 8-10 years old.
The documented results were phenomenal. State test scores rose dramatically, the highest in the district. The Superintendent attributed the high test scores to the CIJ Program and it’s powerful components. The Superintendent spoke numerous times about it to administration at district-wide meetings. The children's self-esteem improved, their grades improved, and their ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility for their own actions improved greatly. The students gained confidence in their beliefs that they were in charge of the academic and social outcomes in their lives. Thus, improved behavior that may have been once challenging and greater motivation was witnessed in the classroom. Resilience to stress and perseverance in adversity was also witnessed.
