Let's help deceased Libby Malloy's Max

Donation protected
I became aware of Libby by reading a local news article a few weeks ago. She was brutally murdered at the hands of someone close to her. This took place in Lafayette parish in her home. This was savage and truly evil. If you are compelled please go and read about the very peculiar circumstances in the local Acadiana news.    At 2 years old and a whopping 75 lbs, Max was her dog and big baby boy. He was her love and light. In a world of dark chaos. Both Libby and Max suffered extreme physical and mental domestic abuse. This went on for years. There is a small glimmer of light and hope for Max though. This is Max's grandparents. The people that did their best to provide support and love to him by sitting for him often while Libby was away or had things to do. Max's grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Malloy are trying to keep him. They need him to. This family is going through something that no family should ever have to. Max is all they have left.  He has lots of recovery to do. The Malloys want and need to provide this recovery, but there are a few hurdles to overcome.  Libby's father is a veteran and on a fixed income. The home they live in has size restrictions on pets. They tackled all of the red tape involved in him staying at their rental property. Now to be faced with another obstacle. The deposit for Max is $315. There is no way they can come up with this money quickly after spending all their savings on cremation and a modest memorial. The legal expenses and crime scene clean up fees are piling on to. There is no time to pinch pennies over the next several months.  Max has no where to go till then. Besides, why would you want to take him from the ones he loves and feels safe with? Especially after all this. They need each other more than ever. I would also like to raise money to hire a trainer that can help in his rehabilitation. And they need transportation funds so that they can get him to medical appointments, training sessions, and socialization sessions.  A local rescue, FLASH has stepped up to fund his medical needs. And a wonderful friend and animal rescuer has agreed to aid in day sitting and the first steps to trusting strangers again. I need you to help me follow through with all the rest. Let's get Max and his loving grandparents on the road to recovery. Thank you.
