Liars Club Mafia League: Prize Pool

Liars Club Mafia League is an upcoming inter-community Mafia competition that will happen over 5 weeks, with the regular season running between Oct. 16 and Nov. 11, followed by a playoff week for the 13 best players from Nov. 13 to Nov. 18. The competition will be hosted on the Liars Club Twitch channel. VoD’s from the current pre-season games can be found on YouTube or in the videos section of the Twitch channel.

The purpose of the GoFundMe campaign is to add to the prize pool the organizers have put forward - currently sitting at $2000. The League is completely free to enter for the players, and all of the GoFundMe raised will go towards the prizes for them. We want to build up engagement of audiences not familiar with the game of Mafia, and provide viewer value through the showcasing of the best players from the invited communities. In addition to that, we will use the GoFundMe as a way to award the weekly Crowd Favorite Prize - every week we will tally the funds donated in each player’s name, and whoever has the highest sum raised for them will get the Crowd Favorite Prize (note that these awards are a fixed percentage of the total prize pool, and not the money raised in the name of that player for that week).

The Prize Pool (PP) will be $2000 + anything that the GoFundMe raises. Below is a breakdown of all the prizes that the PP will go to:
Regular Season Prizes
Weekly Prizes (4 weeks)
Weekly Brilliancy Prize (selected by the admins and casters): 3.75% of the PP
Weekly Crowd Favorite Prize (chosen by the audience through GoFundMe donations for that week): 3.75% of the PP
If you’re donating specifically for the crowd favorite prize, be sure to include a comment stating the player you are backing! The player with the most money at the end of the week is that week’s crowd favorite.
Cumulative Regular Season Prizes (1 of each)
Best Outcome Score (over at least 5 games) - 5% of the PP
Best Round Score (over at least 5 games) - 5% of the PP
Total Prizes for Regular Season - 40% of the PP
Playoff Week Prizes
Players’ Choice Prize (awarded based on a vote between the 13 playoff players): 5% of the PP
Playoff Brilliancy Prize (selected by the admins and casters): 5% of the PP
Playoff Crowd Favorite (chosen by the audience through GoFundMe donations for Playoff Week): 5%

League winner - 15% of the PP
Second place in playoffs - 7.5% of the PP
Third place in playoffs - 5% of the PP
Playoff place 4-6 - 3% of the PP each
Playoff place 7-9 - 1.5% of the PP each

Total Prizes for Playoff Week - 60% of the PP

Game day 3 - Sunday, 9pm EST - two league games, followed by discussion and community games.
