Liams Journey 

Liam Ryan Barabonoff  was born Decemeber 2012. Chad and Brittany Barabonoff were over the moon excited to welcome their big strong boy into the world. Weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. the youngest child of three.  Little did they know how strong their son would truly be. 

 August 2013 the Barabonoffs were faced with a parents worst night mare. Their youngest son  Liam was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After a terrifying night, Liam was flown from Regina to Calgary for his first brain surgery. Chad and Brittany were told he had a 10 % chance of making in through the surgery. And even if he made it he might not have very much brain function.  They kissed and hugged their baby boy good bye. 10 hours later Liam came out of surgery. He had made it! He had beaten the odds.Not only beaten them. He was able to smile and see his parents faces. Liam was going home! they came back to Regina where they started treatment on the tiny litte 8 month baby. And it looked like it might be working. Liam was growning and learning. 
But the cancer returned. Just after his first birthday  This time surgery was not an option. the tumor had wrapping around his brain in a way surgery would not be possbly. So Liam and his mother made the move to Calgary were they did aggressive Chemo and radiation. Daddy would stay home with the kids and come to Calgary to visit as much as he could. Little Liam was once more fighting for his life. After weeks and weeks he was able to return home to his family. They were all together again. Liams Tumor was almost gone. Once again. the little man with the giant soul was beating all odds
Liam  spent the summer with his mom and dad. Playing in the yard with his older brother Ireland and his big sister Maddy. The family began to smile more often. Breath a little lighter.  

Once more that has changed. Liams brain tumor is back.   The doctors say that Liam has little chance to live.   But we have heard this before. Liam is two years old now . He has been fighting cancer for more than half his life. Its what Liam Ryan Barabonoff does best! Liam creates his own miracles. He always has. He will fight through this challange as well. They will begin the give oral chemo pills to prolong his life while the family figures out what the next step will be. 

This has been the hardest thing for the Barabonoff to go through. Not only emotionally. But financially. Chad has had to take so much time off work  to go back and forth to Calgary or hospitals or just to stay home and be with his family. And Brittany was never able to return to work because Liam was diagnosed before her maternity leave  had ended. Please help Liam through his jouney.
