What is LGBTQ+ Tiny Shows?

Tiny Shows is a weekend residency for 50 LGBTQ+ Theatre Makers to make some spontaneous new work, connect with others in the community, and connect with Omnibus Theatre.

Facilitator Jenifer Toksvig will use Open Space technology to enable a freeform devising process over two days, culminating in an informal and optional sharing at the end of the weekend.

LGBTQ+ Tiny Shows is part of 96 Festival. A theme for the weekend will be revealed at the start of the first day.

How do you become a participant?

Participation is on a Pay What You Decide basis, so you need to do two things to participate.

1. If you would like to be one of the LGBTQ+ Theatre Makers, please fill in the short-form at -
https://goo.gl/forms/hvyR9OsvRZ5tWjdW2

Places will be assigned in order of application, but we will attempt to accommodate all applicants.

2. Decide if you want to, or can, pay something to participate, and use this crowdfunder to do that. You don't have to pay anything, you could just fill out the form.

If you do pay something (which you can do anonymously) it will go toward what it costs us to do this event. You can also pay more than you otherwise might, to compensate for others who cannot pay anything. You don't have to pay anything before the event - if you like, you can wait until after the event, and then decide what / whether to pay.

PLEASE NOTE: if you do want to participate, popping money in this box won't get you on the list. Make sure you fill in the form above.

(This is the same fundraiser we used for the last event. We're continuing with it, in order to acknowledge previous contributions from community members.)

Access
All performance spaces and facilities at Omnibus Theatre are fully wheelchair-accessible. Please contact us if you have any access questions at all.

Can't I book through the Omnibus website?
No, you can only participate via this page, and by filling out the form we link above (and paying something if you decide to). Audiences who want to watch the final sharing can book tickets through the Omnibus website.

Not taking part, but want to support us?

We obviously welcome all kinds of donations, from the very small, to those which make a gesture of support for the access of others.

This crowdfunder will guarantee that the event will go ahead and ensure we fairly pay the theatre and its staff, and provide basic access support to all participants.

Even if you do not want to join in as a participant, we would really appreciate your support in the form of a donation. Everyone who donates to this, whether participating or not, will receive the end-of-weekend report on all the pieces of performance which are created, along with information on how you can continue to engage with them in future.

(We did apply for some public funding, but were unsuccessful.)
