My name is Lewis, and I need a very important heart surgery.
I am a 7 month old Brindel mix Bulldog / French Bulldog. I am a loving happy little guy that loves to play and meet new people, and I have found my forever home with my owner Michele. We thought I had a heart murmor that would correct itself; however, the doctors are saying it is a much worse condition. We have had a couple of different doctors look and they say it does not look good. I need to have surgery very soon.
My Michele says that this is why I get so tired when I get exited.
My Michele is thinking about selling our house to afford my operation. I really love our little house and the great big yard we have. The rabbits are so funny in the morning.
The doctor says that the success rate of the surgery is very good and I will be able to live a normal life with my person.
DIAGNOSIS:
Pulmonic valve is thickened and irregular. The opening of the valve is narrowed. There is a narrowing of blood flow through the valve.
The narrowoing of the valve is creating a pressure overload in the right heart. There is visible thickening of the right ventricular wall and interventricular septum. The hypertrophy is attempting to compensate for the increased pressure of pumping blood through the narrowed opening. The right ventricle also appears somewhat distended as well. The dialation is due to decrease in forward blood flow.
