Help to buy a Handicap Van

What would happen if you woke up today, drove to work, and on your way to a typical normal day, a texting & driving person hit you, changing your life forever?

That is the story of a then 31 year old Levi Heller. June 4th 2015, was a a normal drive to work, 6am morning commute with no traffic. He was headed to his job working on the pipeline in Galveston, Texas area. Suddenly life changed for Levi and all those who love him when a woman speeding, texting, & driving ran a flashing red light, t-boning his suv. The intensity of the impact cause his vehicle to spin into a ditch and flipped twice. Unbenonst to him, he would later learn his neck was broken in 2 places,  he had a broken back, and severely damaged his spinal cord. All ribs on on his left side were broken calapsing his lung. Levi was life flighted to the hospital. The woman that hit him walked away from the accident unscathed.
Now imagine your his Mom, almost 500 miles away. Wendy received a phone call at around 7 pm, yes almost 12 hours later, because they couldn't determine what kind of call it would be. Would they be telling this Mother she lost her son, or telling her the extent of damages he had suffered. Thankfully, it was the latter. Immediately the family rallied together and made the 12 hour trip to Texas to be with Levi.
This accident has left him unable to care for himeself.  This new found need for minute to minute care falls on his Mom, whom gave up working and gives round the clock care for Levi. Her role is not only Mom, but Nurse, Groomer, Chaperone, and Muscle. While in Texas, Levi was able to do Live in therapy for a few rounds, and each round, he made leaps and bounds in his healing. When Wendy & Levi made the decision to move him back to Tulsa, closer to family and friends, they lost a lot of the access to healthcare and intense therapy he had been recieving. Now Wendy and Levi make the drive from Tulsa to Okmulgee (at least 70 miles round trip) to do therapy twice a week. Wendy lifts Levi from his wheelchair into their minivan  to get to these therapy sessions, as well as any Doctors appts or anytime they want to leave the house in general. The Van isn't handicapped equipped and overall isn't in the best condition. The cost of medical treatments not covered by insurance is to much to take on a payment.

Today, I am asking for anyone effected by Texting and Driving , anyone who has taken a stand against the atrocious act of texting & driving, or any parent who can Imagine the pain Wendy & Derrell Griffith is living through watching Levi in this state, to help me help them! I am trying to raise the money to cover the cost of a handicap vehicle. Help this Mom, who has already lost so much of the Son she raised, be what any Mom would want to be, the best darn caregiver possible.  Any additional funds will be used for Medical Bills and Therapy, hoping to get Levi back to the man he used to be.
The family appreciates ANY amount you can donate.
Thank you very much
