Laura's fight for life

Give for Laura’s life.

Last year we went to a family wedding, I turned up late as usual to a night do and sat at the back with my parents. My cousin Ste was up dancing, him and his brothers having a dance off, all with there wives... but where was Laura? Laura was sitting down at the table a little subdued. Why wasn’t she joining the crazy bunch on the dance floor??

What none of us new......Laura was in pain, she had been to the doctors and was waiting for test results, the following days would bring news that has rocked her world. Laura had decided not to tell anyone so Ste and his family could enjoy his brothers wedding.

Laura is going through something each and every one of us dread, she’s is a beautiful lady of 35, wife of Stephen ( my cousin) who absolutely adores her, mum of 2 beautiful babies 3 and 5, daughter to Jan and Ray and sister to Michaela and Darren, who she has always been close to. Laura loves to play netball, spend time with her family and works to protect the children of Teesside.

In August Laura was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, it’s aggressive, and advanced. Laura was told that there was little treatment available for this type of cancer, she sort advice from London and was advised to try to get onto a trial... Laura tried but unfortunately there was a 10 week delay to start treatment, Chemo started the following week.

Laura, Stephen and her mum have tried everything in there power to improve Laura’s health, she drinks aloe Vera, Completely changed her diet, Takes CBD oil, she carried out weekly Pilates, meditation, breathing exercises and attended her chemo.... always staying positive.....an absolute warrior and inspiration. Jan has become a super star chef, appointment coordinator and daily support, Ste... super dad... is holding it together, always there to do everything he is asked..... in November there was excellent results. The hard work was showing and the scans showed shrinkages in her Tumours. They could enjoy Christmas ❤️

In February, the next scan came and then Laura began feeling unwell, she had picked up a cold.... she became more breathless and struggling with walking up an incline. At her consultant appointment another blow... the improvement had stopped and new progression seen, the chemo has stopped working...

Laura has been put forward for another trial but she may not be a suitable candidate, there are treatments available outside the NHS.....we are asking for donations to send Laura abroad for specialist treatment... please help. This route of funding is not something Laura has wanted to chase but now is willing to try anything to save her life.

Please help us to give Laura, Ste and their babies more Christmas’s,  birthdays and morning snuggles together.... don’t let Jan and Ray see their daughter suffer any longer... I’m now begging for the people of Teesside to come together and support by giving and sharing to all your contacts, help us fight for Laura’s life.
