I am Jeremy Drafall. At a tender age of 4 years, I was diagnosed with Autism.
Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin for about 27 years, I left the place all at once and moved to Chicago as if the place was calling me, as if there laid a big change for me. And the place truly changed my life forever. My journey in Chicago began with meeting new people, professionals and NGOs who were actively involved in Autism Speaks. I also joined the Group and engaged myself in Autism Speaks for 11 months. And seriously speaking this is the biggest thing ever happened to me. I could easily relate to them and therefore attended all their events in high spirits. It was the best time of my life.
What brings me to Chicago?
Having born and brought up in Madrid, Wisconsin for 27 years, I headed to Chicago, IL for my BA degree. A College Student at Columbia College, I am studying Theatre in Acting. Having passed through freshman year easily, I started off my graduation in January 2015, and currently half-way in my sophomore year. I have a keen interest in liberal arts and dream of becoming an actor someday. I also desire to build an organization called Autism Specks U: CCC or Columbia College-Chicago. This is how I can make a difference in the lives of those suffering from Autism.
