For many of you, you are aware of the struggle that Donovan, Morgan and their three children have faced since April 23rd, 2014.
Diagnosed with Leaukemia (ALL) and the struggle that they faced over the past three years. Such bravery & tenacity shown by them and their unwavering faith in God to bring healing & restoration for Donovan.
He has been clear of all signs of cancer and was under a maintenance regiment of chemo therapy for almost 18 months.
However, on April 2nd, 2016, is was diagnosed that the Leaukemia was back, strongly. For them, their friends and family, we are numbed with the news!
Since then, Donovan was transferred to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York. He has gone through a highly successful Car-T theraphy, which to all intensive purposes, nocked out the blast cells. Thereafter, he underwent a "bone marrow transplant" which took well. He has emerged slowly but surely, re-building the immne system and battling various infections and viruses, that kept him low.
At the start of the week of June 12th, 2017, Donovan started feeling really strong and was planning his return home to Nort Carolina to resume his normal life.
But, on June 15th, 2017 they discovered that the blast cells (cancer cells) had returned and were at 7% of the white bloods cells. By Monday the 19th, the blast cell count was sitting at 30%.
He is now fighting for his life and undergoing further treatments.
However, he remains strong, full of faith in God and is treating each day, as an opportunity to fight this disease and ultimately, to win this battle.
