Help Kim Get The Therapy She Needs

This is Kim, she is a 22 year-old aspiring model and dancer living in Miami.  This summer on July 19th Kim was hit by a car on her way to work on a Sunday afternoon. It was bright and sunny and she was just trying to get to work when her entire life changed. The accident shattered a bone in her back and damaged her spinal cord which landed her in the hospital facing grave consequences. Kim suffered a brain injury as well and currently cannot hear out of her left ear, she has gone partially blind on the left side of her left eye and her left arm doesn't have good coordination and her memory is severely affected. There is no question that she has hard days, every day is hard, but she is so hopeful and positive.


A short while after the accident, Kim suffered a stroke that damaged part of her brain, which set her back in her progress and added to her existing difficulties. This is going to be a long hard road for Kim but you can't tell from her attitude about it all. It's so humbling to even witness. The one thing that never falters is Kim's positive attitude, it's incredible.


Her recovery from the time of the accident to now is beyond amazing. Every day she posts more videos, more pictures and more thoughts that let us know exactly how special Kim really is. While most of us are complaining about every day life Kim is working to get stronger and putting out nothing but gratitude for what she has. It's incredible to see how much she has done in just a few short months. Kim is very serious about her recovery and you can see it in everything she does.


Look at the determination in every single picture she posts. Watch her videos working on getting in and out of her wheelchair. She is sharing such personal and vulnerable moments with us it's  no wonder how many people love and support her, she is truly special. Watching those videos you can really see how hard all of this is, even with Kim's eternal smile. She makes it look so easy but it isn't and those videos really show it.


We are writing this today because even though Kim has insurance and the person who hit her has insurance, its just not enough. The amount of hospital time, therapy, meds, etc is overwhelming to Kim and her very loving and supportive family. I am asking you today to make a donation as a symbol of faith in something better. Take a look at Kim's Facebook Page and Instagram account and you will see why she is such an inspiration to us here at One Love Massive. We believe in the power of positive thinking and we truly believe that anything is possible, in fact...it's the only thing we believe in any more. Help us get this story out there. All it takes is one big media outlet to see this and then millions will know Kim's story and can maybe help her. Kim is an inspiration to anyone willing to pay attention for 5 seconds. Some days she is what gets us out of bed and feeling grateful, if Kim can do we sure can too. Let's support Kim financially, spiritually, mentally and physically, she deserves it more than anyone we have ever met.

All it takes is a few people to care and thousands more will follow. There is a really great rehab center in Orlando that Kim really wants to go to but it's really expensive. We really need your help. Kim has already applied to get a grant to get a hand cycle like the one below and wants to compete in January and do a 26 mile run. This girl is unstoppable! We can only hope she will get more grants and more help but in the meantime she needs help now.


Very specifically Kim wants to go to Project Walk Orlando but it is very expensive and Kim cannot do the therapy they have recommended without some financial help. It is no doubt worth the investment it's just outside of her current means. If every person reading this donated $1 or $5 she would have all the help she needs. Anything is possible.


Not only is Kim an aspiring model she was also a professional dancer with a great future ahead. She was even in a Pitbull video and was living a wonderful life full of possibilities. It was the lyrics in his song with Neyo, Time of our lives, that spoke to Kim and that has always stayed with her. Pitbull and his music and the opportunity and experience she had because of him has a lot to do with who she is and how she sees the world. He remains to be someone that brings a smile to her face, and what a beautiful smile it is! Contagious to say the least.
