Lets help Tif and her family while she recovers

As some of you already know, Tiffany Dacey was diagnosed with a thyroid tumor in October 2018. After having a needle aspiration biopsy that showed it was benign, she was able to schedule surgery in December. A mild sickness postponed surgery for another month and she was finally able to have it removed this past Monday. The frozen section biopsy in the OR again showed it was benign. The right side was removed along with the mass and the left side remained. Today the final pathology readings came back and were POSITIVE for papillary thyroid carcinoma. It has been quite a shock to her, her family and her friends to say the least.
You see, Tif is used to being on the other side of the bed caring for the sick and debilitated as an ER nurse. She is one of the most caring, generous, and thoughtful people that we know and she would do anything for anyone that needed assistance during their time of need. Tif works PRN( as needed) to meet the needs of her family and to be able to work around her husbands schedule, so she does not get sick time or PTO... when she doesn’t work she doesn’t get paid. The news today will likely result in her having to return to the OR again next week to have the remainder of her thyroid removed, which will extend her recovery time and require more time off then originally expected. She will be seeing her Doctor next week to confirm the plan.
We understand how hard she and her husband work. We would like to help alleviate any financial burden created from being off work or from any medical bills that they might have by starting this page so that family, friends, and anyone that wishes to contribute can show their love and support to them during this rough and scary time.
We ask that everyone give her some time to be with her family and to recover. At this time her children are not aware of the diagnosis. Tif and Dan have decided to wait until her 2nd surgery is over and the treatment plan is finalized to talk with their kids about this.
