Have you ever had a friend that you cared for so much they were just like family to you?? You would do anything for their happiness and their well-being!! I have and her name Is Melissa Tomlinson!! My sweet friend and I are in need of your help!!
Melissa has a disease called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, CRPS-it is a progressive disease of the Sympathetic Nervous System and a very seriously painful disease. Rated as the most painful condition on the McGill Pain Scale. She has been living with this disease for 1,279 days which equals 3 ½ years!! That is way too long to be in excruciating pain 24 hrs 7 days a week!! She has not been able to work due to this disease. CRPS is also known as the Suicide Disease. Did you hear that…. THE SUICIDE DISEASE!! This is very serious!

This clinic has had amazing results with CRPS treatment. Miracles are happening every day at this clinic! You can see the light in Melissa’s eyes again from how well she has been responding to this treatment. Originally, treatment was planned for 10 weeks with no guarantees of exactly how long it would take for her to find relief. IF she could even find relief. She has completed 7 weeks of treatment and through specific treatments has done well for the most part. As of last week there have been some setbacks and Melissa’s doctor has informed her she will need further treatment. Hearing this was very discouraging for Melissa as treatment is not easy physically, mentally, emotionally or financially.

One day, out of the complete blue, you fall….. hurt yourself and in the back of your mind you think “Oh No! 6 weeks in a cast or splint, but I can handle it” As the weeks pass and you are still in excruciating pain without any answers, no help or relief in sight….. You go through multiple doctors, painful and out of date procedures that only make this disease spread/ flare more pain on to you for 3 ½ years. YEARS people!! As you are desperate for answers, and then you FINALY find it!!!!! It’s like the angels have finally shown you the way. You are progressing and after all your hard work you are told there is more to come...

Treatment is not cheap and is not covered by insurance. Not because her insurance doesn’t cover CRPS but NO INSURANCE company covers this treatment for her disease. We need YOUR help to get Melissa through the rest of her needed treatment. I am reaching out to you and to all that can help. We all see these fundraising accounts and think “I just can’t…..” What about that weekly car wash?? Or that latte on Wednesday to get us through the week??? It may not seem like a lot to you but every penny counts and means the world to my sweet friend Melissa and her life!!!
I ask for your help from the bottom of my heart and truly appreciate all that you can do. This is a time sensitive issue as she needs to continue her treatments from where she stands now. This is not possible unless we get your help!! We are trying to reach a goal of $10,000.00.
