Leila's Angel Wings

IMAGINE THIS:

Your beautiful 2 1/2 month old baby girl gets sick, so you take her to the hospital. You're told that she has a problem with her liver - and she needs an operation.
The thing is, there is no doctor at this hospital that can do the operation, so you might be sent to another.
You anxiously await to hear when you can go to the hospital that can provide her with the proper care. ...
But you never do.
They tell you there is "no room".
You stand by helplessly, not knowing what to do.
After many days, you take your daughter out of that hospital and bring her to the other one, PRAYING that they DO have room and will "accept" your beautiful baby girl.
That they will save her life.
And you console your wife. As best you can. 
And you pray.
You hear people talking outside in the courtyard.
They are saying its a good hospital,
because "they used to have white doctors"
 So you have hope.
They send you and you and your child to an outside lab for further testing, which in turn sends you to yet ANOTHER hospital.
Again, they do tests.
But no one gives you answers.
Can they help your baby?
Do they even have the means?
You don't know.
You watch your child suffer.
Which makes you suffer as well.
So you pray.
You send a message to your American friend - asking her to please just come and take your baby to the United States.
"PLEASE help me save my baby" you write.
You are only 689 miles from Miami.....
Where there are pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric liver specialists, pediatric surgeons.
So close.....and yet a world away.
YOU ARE IN HAITI.

There are SO many people in need....so many organizations asking for donations at Christmastime.
Therefore, I will not ask.
But my Christmas gift this year is trying to save this ONE beautiful baby girl. Just one.
Any way I can.
Her name is Leila.

And if anyone chooses to help me, I won't say no.
