Brian and Dantes Disaster Relief Fund

Dear Friends, this is our story and why we need your help. 

It's amazing how much your life can change suddenly in a day. 
On the morning of Feb 27th, 2019 a massive tree came crashing down onto our house just after a night of record rainfall and high winds, causing a chain reaction of complex and significant structural problems to our home. 

Dante and our beloved pets were literally shaken with trauma. Neighbors came running to help remove the tree from the roof.  He spent two more days until outside help arrived trapped without utilities or phone, surrounded by high flood waters and a landslide. 
All I wanted was to get to him and get my loved ones out of there. 

Our home is currently red tagged  - Uninhabitable. In order to have the red tag lifted we must comply with timely and expensive engineering, permitting, rehabilitation/construction and inspections.
To avoid potential catastrophic loss we are raising money to keep the house by complying with all that will be required. 

When disaster hits the costs accrue incredibly quickly, even with insurance. Besides the monetary costs the mental toll is expensive as well. Our dog Hugo and cat Kiki have also been forced out of their home and must adjust without notice. They too are traumatised by this event. 

We are looking outward and to you to help us raise enough money to get us through this process. Your generosity will help us be able to achieve the goal of returning home. 

We also realize our community is suffering from persistent disasters and so we are already paying your generosity forward by advocating for federal disaster relief that would open up more funding to those who need it most in order to rebuild their lives and businesses. 

We are so grateful for the incredible kindness shown to us during this crisis and hope that someday, should your luck be down that you too will be able to feel as comforted as we have.
