Let's make this house a home for baby Zachary

I would like to raise money to help make sure Zachary and his parents have no worries when they leave the hospital.

Zachary was born on the 22nd of March 2019 at Lincoln County Hospital. He was born with a respiratory TOF which meant his esophagus was connected to his wind pipe and there was no connection to his stomach. On the night of the 22nd Zachary was transferred to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he underwent surgery to repair his TOF. Zachary spent 5 days on Atricurium (Muscle Relaxant) and his chin resting on his chest as any slight movement could of jeopardized his recovery process. During his stay at QMC he had scans to ensure the rest of his body was okay. Unfortunatly it was found that Zacharys heart needed fixing. He was put on dinoprostine whilst at QMC and at 9 days old he was then transfered to Glenfield Hospital (Leicester).
On the first full day of Zachary being at Leicester he was put on Vapotherm which basically made sure his lungs were strong to support him through the operation. His parents were told he had hypoplastic aortic arch, coarctation a VSD AND ASD. on Tuesday the 2nd of April 2019 at 9.45 am Zachary was taken to theatre to have his aortic arch widened and both the ASD and VSD repaired. He was in theatre for a gruelling 10 and a half hours. When he returned from theatre he was on a machine called ECMO which is like bypass but for use outside of theatre. This machine takes deoxygenated blood from the body, oxygenates it and then returns it back to the body. In the upcoming days the nurses at Glenfield kept trialling Zachary off of the ECMO machine but each time, he couldn't handle it. After investigation into why he wasn't coping they found that one of the valves on his heart had been damaged. Because of this, on the 17th of April 2019 Zachary was taken back to theatre. He needed an atrial septostomy and a BT shunt, as well as the surgeons trying there best to repair the valve. Again it was a good 7 hours in theatre and Zachary came back out on ECMO. This time he was only needing ECMO to support his lungs. Once more, nurses tried to trial Zachary off of ECMO and sadly he still couldn't cope. On the 24th of April 2019 the surgeons and consultants had a discussion and it was decided Zachary would be taken to the Cardiac Cathetor Lab, where he had dye injected into the veins and arteries in his body to see if there were any blockages or further defects. They found that just above his BT shunt there was a narrowing. They managed to stent thus during the procedure and everything seemed okay and the Zachary went into cardiac arrest. They spent 15 minutes resusitating him and thankfully he came round.
Zachary is currently stable and has been since 95% of the time since the Cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, as Zachary grows up he will need further operations to maintain the function of his heart.

My reason for doing this go fund me page is Zacharys parents haven't been home since the day he was born and sadly have been unable to get the house prepared for his return home and only getting the house a few months before with no furniture this was a massive struggle for them which led them to sleep and eat at my house. Sadly, as his parents are staying at Glenfield hospital with Zachary there is no guarenteed income and the money they get is paying for bills so they can keep there house and food whilst at the hospital plus anything Zachary requires. They have no carpet in the house, they need furniture.they only have a mattress to sleep on. I'm also wanting to get item so they can monitor Zachary when he sleeps and they can be made aware if he was to stop breathing. I would like to try and decorate, carpet and put furniture in the house and buy all the required stuff for baby's sensory play

Please please please with your help we can all make this possible for this family who need our help xxx
