Let's Get Saunders New Hearing Aids!
My twenty years old hearing aids quit on me, it was good run! Fortunately, my audiologist is a gem of a human and loaned me temporary hearing aids to use.
Hearings aids powerful enough for my hearing loss are expensive! Alberta Health Care only covers cost for those under 18 years of age and over 65 of age. Alberta Assisted Devices program does not cover cost. As you know Alberta economy has been lagging recent years and business has dropped significantly. How slow?? To put it in perspective Saunders has only skied 2 day last winter and 6 days the winter before last. For those who know Saunders well that is not good! Every dollar counts, no contribution is too small or large.
New hearing aids Phonak Naida B cost $8000.
If we surpass this goal the outstanding amount will be donated to VOICE - For Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children (Ottawa Chapter)as they were instrumental in my early development and success.
Medical Diagnosis:A bilateral severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss from birth. Severe/profound loss(Deaf)
For you Calgary folks rumour has it some friends are going to throw a big party if we hit goal.
