Let her come back home

This is a photo of my girlfriend Andressa Lima and our little dog named angel, who was gifted to us!

Andressa is a 23yr old Brazilian citizen. I am a British citizen with from Filipino parents.

Through our close relationship taught each others language and she manage to learn fluent English and I learn Portuguese.

We met in Goiania, Brazil in 2015 and stayed together to explore the country and get to know places like the rainforest; we visited her relatives in various regions. Brazil was such an adventurous country.

We decided after a few months to come to Europe. We stopped by in Amsterdam and Paris and then finally reaching the UK in March 2016.

Our ultimate goal was to get married either in Europe like Portugal or back in my home native country the Philippines.

When we got here in 2016, I had a job fixed contract with an organisation in Bournemouth, to work as a mobile technology consultant. This position was granted to me after remote interviews whilst travelling in Brazil. 

 However, since working away on projects  in Saudi Arabia and Germany, and  having time off to stay in Brazil with Andressa for a few months.  

My credit score in the UK  was virtually non existent therefore - this resulted in me/us not being able get an apartment in time  to fulfil the project start dates, the project offer was then revoked by the company.

The impact of Brexit meant that there was also less jobs available and having worked as an IT contractor I am running behind projects to try and keep food on the table and general life sustenance. Overall to keep us achieving our plans as a couple and continued in pursuit of happiness and have a normal life.



Although at times we struggled to get housing and finding the freelance contracts; however we managed to get through over 3 years by living in various cities and it was difficult to have to maintain hectic life by having to be relocated to various different places such as Hastings, Birmingham, Slough, and Frankfurt, London and now in Manchester. It's hard if you move around different places even in the UK and even mainland Europe especially when looking at renting.


Our main goal was to try and to save the needed amount of money required to complete our vision of being together and having a normal family life - we wanted to follow the route and the immigration requirements needed to support our end goals. This was in essence just to be happy and settled then to return back to Brazil as a newly weds. 



We spent a lot of time investigating on the best route forward to get her legalised in the UK as we knew that after being together since 2015 we couldn't live apart anymore. Our efforts included numerous consultations with solicitors and reading through the various amounts of immigration websites. But, in the end it all came down to costs and money, and sometimes our bills was the priority. 

Therefore, I can say that the struggles of life to stay together as a couple with the added responsibilities of a pet dog meant that we had to move around.  With me finding different contract roles to maintain our life. It meant travelling around the country which was difficult at times.

My girlfriend is an understanding partner and very supportive, she is wonderfully bright and happy individual who loves nothing more than to learn about new things and to see  and loves going for walks in nature.



This girl is my inspiration and a motivation for me to do something successful in life to be able to provide her the normal standard she always wanted and deserved. We both decided right away that we should put our thoughts, effort  and invest our time into creativity a mobile app for the rental industry as we found it hard to get through referencing and the number of times we lost holding deposits to scrupulous estate agents.

I worked in the software industry by profession and had knowledge of the programming needed to do something like this. So, Together we came up with ideas to create something useful for the general masses who needed to access a rental platform.


The outcome of this inspiration was to create a new app called dif.rent

Moving ahead with our plans back in May 2019 we started by relocating to a small town up in the north of England where it was cheaper to rent. We tested our theories regarding home rental and the process of getting a home. After 6 weeks of battling with estate agencies we finally got a lease and had involved a new business partner and so called best friend who is also into IT Technology and we got to work.

The 3 months later of hard work and a lot of interest from our network on Linkedin account. We started to get some traction. 

Within our Linkedin network the concept of the app had many supporters from Ivy Leagues top universities Harvard, MIT and Wharton business school and so on...

Detained - Broken Dreams
My so called friend got into a verbal row near our home and he walked out, but due to the minor altercation
the next day the police arrived with immigration officers. Andressa was detained in  custody and are now inside Deportation camp in Bedford.

Which is one of the worst places to be stuck inside.

As of yet, Andressa has not been deported back to Brazil, I need her with us and we have a chance under the human rights act article 8 to bring her back home.

However this means expensive solicitors. Our budget has been tight over the past 3 months our objective of our project which is to deliver this app live into the market,  We have finances committed to  the development stream for UK Dec 2019 release date.

But right now we need the money to fight for her freedom and not' be removed from the UK and sent back to Brazil.  She has no real family there to help achieve her dreams! With her being with us she can continue inspiring me to be successful and completing our mission by having rights to remain with us here and live a normal home life.

Currently due to the situation, I am suffering extreme depression  without her and unable to deal with my affairs due to this shock of her being detained. Because of the situation I feel like lost and due to work pressure to make our project successful resulted in insomnia and stress. The worry over Andressa and our dog being taken away has had detrimental effect and caused mental exhaustion. We feel persecuted by the system that we want to help fix and afraid leading to anger and and disappointments.

We both need to rest, get some counciling and health support and need her to help us in order to return to a normal life. The thought of her freedom being taken away and removed from our home  has completely devastate both of us. 

We would like to ask support for crowd donation to bring her home once I have resolved my health problems due to the situation.
This is to hep us continue our objectives, Both individually based on our chosen career path and as a couple who care about each other, neither of us want to be faced with separation in the coming future.

If you do decide to help us, the money will go towards the costs of the legal battle for her to obtain legal status here in the UK as we always planned to do ever since we met 5 years ago.
