Let Buster Run Again!

Donation protected
At 8:30am on Tuesday, November 28th, one of our forever foster dogs, Buster, was run over and then reversed over by the driver of a white 4WD style ute. This vehicle then proceeded to drive off. Buster's foster carer was in shock and unable to get the car's number plate before it fled the scene.

We are getting X-Rays done to get a full idea of the damage that may have occured from Buster being run over, not once, but twice. It appears that Buster's bones have not been irreparably injured, but he will have a long road of physiotherapy and recovery ahead of him to gain back full motion of his hind legs. As he is an older boy, his recovery will need to be managed carefully.

We are lucky to have a wonderful veterinary team on board with Aubin-Atwell Veterinary Clinic, and we know Buster will recieve nothing but the best from his very dedicated foster carer.

Buster  came to DBBR over a year ago as part of our forever foster program. While he is an older boy, he is full of energy and a love of life that wins the hearts of every person he meets. Some dogs would adapt to having less mobility, but to lose the ability to run and play would severely impact Buster's quality of life.

How can you help? With several X-Rays to pay for along with emergency costs, his veterinary bill is steadily rising... and it will only keep going up with his post-accident care! If you can spare even $1 to help Buster get his life back, please do. He lives for his walks and to chase his ball - help him get back on his feet!    If you can't donate, please SHARE!
