Lend a hand to a Breast Cancer Warrior and family

Hello all. My name is Kathy. I'm a wife, mother of 3, and a small town librarian. For those of you reading this that know me, you already know how much I hate asking for help, but there comes a time when you just have to swallow your pride and admit you need help. I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 at the age of 38. Young, right? Tell me about it. Then I was diagnosed again last year, only now I'm living with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer because the cancer has spread into my spine. After two surgeries and 14 rounds of radiation, at my last PET scan back in May, my oncologist said the scan shows no sign of disease. Your cancer has been resolved. Well, just last month, after missing altogether about 2 weeks of work because I was in so much pain that I could barely walk, my neurosurgeon ordered a total of 3 MRI's (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar) before she would do the surgery to correct a herniated disk in my neck. During the surgery, the surgeon removed the bad disk but also found a tumor on the vertebra next to it and had to remove that vertebra as well. Turns out that the cancer is most probably spreading throughout my entire spine now, not just one little section. I am scheduled for a PET scan next week with a follow up with my oncologist the week after that so we can discuss treatment plans. My income, though small, has been our only source of income since earlier this year when my husband had to leave his job for his own medical problems that we are still trying to get resolved. I know that I will be missing approximately 2 months of work, if not more. I hate to ask for help, but every little bit helps and even if you cannot help financially, prayers and good thoughts are always appreciated as well.
