Leisa’s Bosom Buddies

Have you been looking for a way to show your support to Leisa as she undergoes arduous breast cancer treatment?

Funds raised through this GoFundMe account will go directly to Leisa to aid her with the many out-of-pocket expenses associated with her cancer treatment. 


Leisa started chemo treatment for Infiltrating Ductile Carcinoma Stage 3-C in March 2019 . Cancer's physical toll is hard enough, but add to that the mounting out-of-pocket medical bills, and the battle becomes doubly stressful. 

Leisa is a mom, grandmother and dear friend to so many. She has given her entire adult life to teaching music to children in Harrison Schools. She’s shared her musical talents in many formats over the years, through church, community theater and performing at many life events for others. Though retired from full-time teaching, Leisa continues to earn income with transcription work, creative writing and teaching private music lessons. While she has medical insurance, it and all her efforts are frankly not enough to meet out-of-pocket medical bills or added expenses for the frequent travel required for her treatment. 

It’s hard to ask for help, but Leisa needs us.

The total amount of Leisa's out-of-pocket treatment costs are not yet fully known, but they will be substantial and ongoing for some time. This initial GoFundMe goal amount will hopefully shore up Leisa financially, at least through the first phase of her chemo treatment and possibly beyond.
