Head Shave for Princess Margaret

In May 2015, my amazing mom, Yvonne, died of brain cancer. She survived 3 years with highly invasive, stage 4, glioblastoma, and was wonderfully supported and treated by the Brain Tumour Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital.
My mom, like your moms, sacrificed a great deal for her kids. She was, and still is, an incredible inspiration. She was thoughtful, eloquent, hilarious, and she always, always helped other people in need. She knew life was about the connections you make, and the more you gave, the better you felt.
She never lost her positive demeanour even while undergoing constant trips to the hospital and draining treatments. Like many chemotherapy patients, most of my mom's hair fell out and she was left sporting the Andre Agassi, Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis, Britney Spears (circa 2007) look that somehow she still managed to pull off with style and grace.
Now, in honour of my mom, I'm going to shave my head. I hope this small sacrifice of looking like Damon Wayans, Elmer Fudd, Homer Simpson, Lord Voldemort, Michael Jordan, Mr Clean, Samuel J Jackson, Sinead O'Connor and/or Vin Diesel..... will encourage you to sacrifice a bit of your hard earned cash to help me reach my goal of raising $10k.
The money will go directly to Princess Margaret, helping other people like my mom, and families like ours, deal with the heavy blow of a cancer diagnosis.
It would really mean a lot to me if you support my fundraising efforts (and let's face it, make it legitimately worth it to do - I haven't had hair shorter than my chin since I was 3).
If I raise up to $9,999 I will shave my head on Feb 4th, World Cancer Day.
If I meet my $10k fundraising goal, I will shave my head on Feb 4th, on Facebook Live - so you can all witness the reality of my never before seen scalp in realtime.
I will be donating my hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign to make real-hair wigs for women living with cancer.
39% of us will have to face cancer directly in our lives. The remaining 61% will face cancer indirectly through our mothers, wives, sisters, baby cousins, or best friends.
