Mimi Mefo Takambou, Editor In Chief for English Service at EQUINOXE Television in Douala, Publisher of Mimi Mefo Info, was charged arrested in Douala Wednesday November 7, 2018.
She has been imprisoned at New Bell Central Prison for acts of terrorism and infringements of State Security.
Her initial charge on fake news and cyber criminality was simply overturned by State Military Prosecutor.
I have worked with Mimi Mefo Takambou while at Equinoxe Television in Douala for five years. While there I was her Editor In Chief, she later took over from me when I resigned from work last year.
We have also studied in one department, JMC, in the University of Buea. Meaning we have known each other for 10 years now, since 2009.
