Lee-Stuart Evans is running a 365 mile loop through Connecticut and New York in under 7 days.
Lee will stay on trail throughout the run and live homeless for a week. The loop follows the route taken by the Old Leatherman of Connecticut and will follow his footsteps as closely as possible and aims to finish after 7 days at the site of his grave in Ossinging, NY on the 130th Anniversary of his death - 20th March 1889.
The Old Leatherman was a vagabond who wandered an continuous 365 mile loop with startling regularity taking roughly 34 days for each loop. He was homeless and eventually succumbed to Oral Cancer in 1889. He was known for his hand made leather suit and numerous caves he used to sleep in between towns. Given The Leathermans plight Lee is looking to raise money and awareness for the following 3 charities
