Lawyer scam restitution

I was scammed by a criminal who poses as a lawyer and is wanted in Illinois and Wisconsin for similar frauds. He has offices on brickell Avenue and downtown Miami and is NOT registered with the Florida Bar.
On 11/26/2018 my car was crashed into while parked at the building where I live. The car was unoccupied. Total damages were around $21,000. I had never been in an accident and a lawyer who had an office next to mine (who overheard when I was telling what happened to the receptionist) offered to help me expedite the insurance process. I was shocked by what happened my car was destroyed.
Turns out the alleged lawyer is a criminal wanted in Wisconsin and Illinois and behind my back he collected $15939.10 from the insurance company that were meant to go to the repair shop. He is a violent criminal and refuses to pay the repair shop. He even took a trip to Hawaii with that money.
Now the car is ready for almost 2 months and I can’t pay the repair shop. I reported everything to the Florida Barr, States Attorney’s office and Miami Dade police and that criminal whose name is John R Ryann is still on the loose scamming people.

If the car gets repossessed I will ruin my son’s credit and he is applying to Med School this coming June and will need financing for college. He is with me on the lease of that vehicle. I can’t ruin his credit and his ability to attend Medicine School.
Please help me. I have all documentation, police reports and I have included a copy of the check he cashed from the Insurance back on December 2018. He also stole $1000 retainer fee from me as well.
