LawnChair Theatre is a summer project that has brought outdoor performances to the parks of Westchester County since 2006.
We feature multi-generational casts that blend professionally trained and amateur performers. As producers and directors, our goal is to contemporize Shakespeare without rewriting him, and to create community through our work and play. With LawnChair, you don't have to go to see Shakespeare. His plays come to you.
We love doing theatre in public parks. Our audiences benefit from the use of wireless microphones, quality sound equipment, and innovative scenery and wardrobe.
