Lauren's Mission to Orlando Florida
Hi my name is Lauren Yance. I'm 22 years old, a college student, and a dancer. And I’m a Mormon.
On January 27, 2016 I will be reporting to the Missionary Training Center and shortly thereafter will be sent to Orlando Florida to serve as a witness of Christ. In the melting pot of cultures, Orlando's diversity often leads to discrimination and racial violence due to race, traditions, and beliefs. As I serve God, I hope to help put off cultural boundaries, and unite one another through a common thread--God. We live in a world exploding with discrimination and inequality, and that is not what our Father in Heaven wants. We know that He is no respecter of persons, and loves all of us; for we are all his children.
My life has not been easy, but I’m grateful for what each experience has taught me along the way. It made me realize the goodness of God, and how He's there no matter what. I love Him, and I know that He loves me and all of us. In my simple way, I want to give back, and show my gratitude serving Him, and bringing others to feel of His love.
I've been working vigorously over the last months trying diligently to raise the money to support myself and cover living expenses as I serve a mission. Still, with only a little more than a month I find myself short.
Anything you could donate to help me on my cause, I would be extremely grateful, and as His servant, invoke the blessings of Heaven upon you. May you always feel of God's Love.
