Lauren's battle with breast cancer

Lauren is a beautiful 29-year old young woman, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. A cancer diagnosis for anyone is devastating, but to develop it at such a young age is even more of a shock.
She is a teacher of special education at Benowa State High School, who has dedicated her teaching years to supporting young people with additional needs. For anyone that has met Lauren, they’d know she is caring, kind, compassionate and does anything in her power to help others. Lauren has helped many young people and their families over the years of her teaching, for which they have been extremely grateful.
Now Lauren needs your support.
Lauren has a long and tough journey ahead hopefully towards a full recovery. Not only does the emotional stress and worry take its toll, but there’s also the huge financial burden that a loss of income brings. The treatment is expensive along with the ongoing medical costs involved.
The money will be spent to pay for her treatment including specialist fees, medication, surgery and a loss of income.
Lauren is so many things to many people. She is a wonderful teacher, a mad Collingwood supporter, a true friend to so many people and an awesome down to earth person who gets along with absolutely everyone.
The funds have been set up to go straight into Lauren's bank account, to ensure she can start using them as quick as possible, as her medical treatment has already commenced. We would love to have all of the donations to her by Christmas Day.
