Help Lauren & Evan BEAT cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone. It has been quite a while since we last posted an update and there has been quite a bit going on in the Wiatrek's journey.

Over Christmas break and the New Year, Lauren successfully completed 28 rounds of radiation with very few side effects. Her skin held up well and she was able to keep her energy levels up. The hardest part was commuting to the office everyday over to the east side and of course, managing the girls.

In remaining aggressive with her regimen, her doctor recommended going back on a second treatment of chemotherapy called Xeloda in order to "clean up" any left over cancer cells. This came as an unexpected addition to her treatment. Although the side effects are supposed to be mild, it still adds 4-6 months to her treatment plan. She now plans on finishing out her prescribed cycles of chemo as well as reconstruction in late summer.

A new year also brings new deductibles and co-pays, especially for an unexpected turn. Your prayers and generous financial support are continued blessings to Lauren and her family.
