The Heart of the Dragon

Our dear friend Laura Dragon was just recently diagnosed with Stage IV Adenocarcinoma, or cancer of the lungs that has spread to other parts of the body.

Laura was hospitalized briefly and is now receiving radiation and will be moving into chemotherapy within the next week to continue treatment. We, as her friends and family, have set up this Go Fund Me page to help offset some of her medical costs and also to continue the maintenance and running of {9} The Gallery. 

{9} The Gallery, the gallery Laura founded in 2012, has been the home and foundational gallery for many notable Phoenix artists. {9} will be celebrating five years of success this June First Friday. Because of the turn of events, this show titled "The Heart of the Dragon" which will open June 2nd, will be a benefit show whose proceeds will be used to offset Laura Dragon's medical costs and to negotiate the future of {9} The Gallery. All artists work will be donated, and all proceeds will be going to the aforementioned fund raising efforts.

For those of us who cannot support this process through buying art at the benefit, we have created this Go Fund Me to donate in whatever amount we can. Any amount is appreciated, as it can reduce the stress of running the business as Laura will now be focusing on receiving treatment and spending time with friends and family.
