My mom, Laura Carroll, has been a wonderful wife and mother for the past 20+ years. She has so selflessly been there throughout the dozens of surgeries and procedures I have had—so in return, we must help HER!
Laura came down with what she thought to be nothing more than a lyme disease flare on the week of August 13, 2017. We could never have imagined what we would find out a few short days later. Due to the lyme disease in her body at the time, the symptoms of stroke were missed, and unbeknownst to us, she had a stroke on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She has been at Regions Hospital since August 19 recovering and undergoing intense therapy to regain her right arm function as well as her speech. Those who know Laura know how fierce and determined she is and that she can fight through everything thrown at her! However, we need YOUR help to get her financially back on her feet.
She could not afford insurance and in addition to being out of work, she has significant medical costs. We are doing everything we can to provide her therapy, medical care, and money towards necessities to keep the house up and running. We cannot express in words how grateful we are for everything you have all done for us, and we couldn't walk through this journey without you.
