Launch the Stephens to Ecuador!

We are Brian and Cristin Stephens and have four children; Madelyn, Gavin, Landon and Haddon. The Lord has given both of us a desire to make his name known among the nations through evangelism and to meet the great need for deep discipleship, pastoral preparation, leadership training, and theological education. Did you know that 85% of the world’s Christian leaders have little to no access to formal theological training? Also, there is 1 trained Christian leader for every 235 people in the United States, and 1 trained Christian leader for every 450,000 people outside the United States!
In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul says, “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” Many of these national pastors have never had the opportunity to get the training they need, and some do not even have the Bible in their language. Reaching and Teaching, our sending agency, exists to provide that needed training along with deep discipleship, so that those trained pastors can go and train others.
Our family will be moving to Cuenca, Ecuador on September 24th and will join our team of three other families already established there. Brian will be helping to teach in formal and informal settings while we also minister together as a family by forming relationships and having people in our home. We are committed to establishing healthy, God glorifying churches. The Lord has been so gracious and kind and has provided so much for our family. We have so many stories of his wonderful faithfulness to us and how He has grown us closer to Him.
We are about $5500 short on our launch fund, which will pay for our plane tickets, language school, visas, etc. We would love for you to be a part of what the Lord has called us to by helping us reach this goal and by praying for our family.
