Launceston Then digital storage

Donation protected
The aim is to provide a simple solution to digitally store the 1,000's of images and documents for the Launceston Then website in one place, whilst at the same time providing a means of providence for future use. At present the media is stored on one old computer with back ups being made on various forms of disk and hard drives which offer little security. The funds raised will provide for a 4 bay NAS drive that will sit separately on the system with one drive containing all images and documents with a second drive acting as a continuous back up, thus safe guarding all media.  In total up to 16 TB of storage would be available. The drive identified will cost around £850, with any money over this figure being applied to having a set of VHS tapes (showing A30 construction work and various Lifton events in the 1980's), digitally transferred and being shared on the Launceston Then website. If there are funds over and beyond the target, these will be applied to further expand the website.
